The danger of copy and paste type of leadership

The danger of copy and paste type of leadership

. 2 min read

Intrestingly the last two or three months has  been of name callings, arguments, approval and disapprovals.
However when you take a closer looks at some arguments you will realise that most of them don't make sense and neither do we need them.
There are so many examples I can talk about but let me draw your attention to what some opposition political leaders are describing as true leadership.
Although not true, but just for political mileage  some named leaders have accused President Edgar Lungu of having not said anything about Coronavirus.

What is true leadership? Some people say it is when a leader talks on any issue they feel is affecting them. That is not true.
True leadership is not about popularity but effectiveness. It is not in copying everything others are doing but doing what is necessary.

There are also those calling for a Country's lockdown. Well, have your taken a moment to think about those who live on hand to mouth type of business? Just because others have done it we don't have to before accessing our own situation

This notion of copy and paste reminds of primary school days. Those who use to copy from their mate's work  mostly copied wrong methods and answers.

And today we have people who want Edgar Lungu to be like Donald Trump, or Ramaphosa of South Africa. If what those leaders are doing was stopping the spread of the coronaviras I would have been number one calling on President Lungu to do it.
Therefore the issues of of whether or not the President is announcing coronaviras cases doesn't really matter than individuals acting responsibly. If anything Minister of Health, Dr Chitalu Chilufya who is a medical Doctor is in a better position to explain to the people on what to do than President Lungu who will need to be told on what to say because that is not his area of expertise.

In my opinion if the opposition leaders challenging and condemning President Edgar Lungu meant business we would have probably seen them taking turns going in the communities educating society on precautions to take than speaking from the swing chairs. If only they were able to hear some well thought comments people make as they unreasonably attack President Lungu, they would revise their approach to politics.
When you genuinely analyse most statements made especially by some opposition political leaders u will note that their intention is just to manipulate people's minds for their votes in 2021.
What is going on also make me wonder what type of leaders some people would make with their copy and paste style.

In case you overlooked this: copy and paste ideology kills innovation. It destroys identity, it takes away productivity power from you and it also reveals lack of confidence in yourself. Such are people who always think nothing good can come out of them so they want to be everyone.

My humble appeal to the people of Zambia in the wake of this pandemic is take seriously precautionary measures health personnels have told us. What has befallen the world is deadly and has no respect for titles. It doesn't matter how loud some world leaders make announcements on numbers of infections it will not stop the spread except for individuals to take responsibility.
And above all precautions look to God for protection. Fear not! Read Psalm 91:1-16 and Isaiah 33:24.
God is greater than coronaviras and the people you think will sheild you.

May God heal those infected and bring peace to all of us affected.

Have a productive day!
