Ian Bakala is set to Quit Forest Rangers and Become New Nkana Head Coach!
A few weeks ago before the international break ,this was the highlight of the newsroom. Perhaps unto many of us it was a surprise,Even though football is full of surprises, this suprise was more than a surprise. Looking at how well and good Ian settled in at Forest Rangers,it was far from possible to think and imagine he would quit.We all saw Ian was building something at Forest,And it looked almost everything just clicked between him and the club. Then football as it is,It was end of and era for Ian as he couldn't resist the temptation of managing Nkana football club.
WHAT DO WE THINK ABOUT IAN BAKALA IN GENERAL?
A young coach who is rising in ranks And has done extraordinary well in his coaching Career thus far.Right now can arguably be considered as the best young coach in the zambian super league currently. Despite what will happen with Nkana,we believe Ian will be one of the great Coaches in the country and has enough room to learn and Improve.
WAS IT A WRONG MOVE FOR IAN TO QUIT FOREST OVER NKANA?
Football has no forever, wether in goodbye or in coming in. Perhaps it's about dreams in life, and we strongly believe That Ian Choose to pursue his dream and not that he abandoned forest or made a mistake to join Nkana. Many think it's a huge mistake from the young Gaffer but in football only time Reveals. All we can say now is that Ian has 50% chances of succeding and 50% chances of failing. So we can't call him a failure or refer to his move as a mistake. Until then.
WILL IAN SUCCEED AT NKANA AS HEAD COACH?
Let's be honest, The task at hand is not easy,But why should we cast more doubts than Trust on a man who has delivered before more than once? Great Coaches are motivated by pressure,we strongly believe Ian is one of the great rising coaches and he will be motivated regardless. His aim is to succeed, Whatever the outcome maybe,he will feel happy and proud to have had an opportunity to coach one of the biggest clubs in the country. We wish Ian to succeed even though we know it won't be easy.
WHAT ARE EXPECTATIONS ON HIS RETURN?
As much as he expect nothing but a win,His former boys equally have a similar expectation. Bakala won't want to lose to Forest and Forest even worse. His First game as Nkana head coach in midweek against MUZA ended in a 1-1 Draw. Just Imagine,How much he will treasure his first win for his new club against his former employees three weeks ago?
Best of luck Coach.
